2001, December Portraits of Roberto Gandoli |

Roberto asked me some pictures a long time ago. When I decided to take
pictures of him, I proposed him to do same portraits through the lags of a
girl. Roberto agreed with my idea and chose Rossella for her legs
(Rossella is wonderful model, more than 1.80 meters high and with long
lags very adapted to this work. She works with models agencies in Milan or
as freelance; you can find some images of her in the Roberto
Gandoli web site.
Last December, 27th we met in the Roberto studio for the shooting session; we had some problems with the make up artist, who didn't came at the last time, and a technical problem with the Hasselblad. Rossella went on time at the meeting (I really hate when models come late...) and we start talking about pictures to shoot. I think it's very useful to discuss of picture before shooting, to describe the job clearly, to obtain the best collaboration from who works with me. To work with Roberto was the most difficult things because he is a valid photographer (and he had a comment on every technical idea) and he is a model for fashion and advertising photography also. So, he commented everything during the session. Some pictures shown here are from shooting session; some are Polaroid I took during the breaks. |
